If you could only say four things to someone you loved, what would they be?
Maybe it’s a child who is leaving home for the first time. Or a friend who is moving away to start a new job. Or a parent lying on their death bed.
What would you say? What four things would you want them to know beyond a shadow of a doubt?
These are my “Four Things”: four things I want those I love to know for sure, four things I believe God wants us all to know for sure.
These four things are the basis of our self-understanding in the world. They are at the core of our identity as Christians in Jesus. These four things are built into the foundation of Christian spirituality, the Christian life.
These four things are the most important things any of us can know, and many of the psychological and emotional and relational problems we experience come about because we have not fully understood or appreciated these four things.
Throughout January 2016 we reflected on these four things together at Morden Mennonite Church. Click on the links for audio and adapted excerpts of the sermons:
Can’t be there, but i am looking forward to reading them. Fits well with my New Year’s resolution to seek a deeper intimacy with Jesus.
Hi & thanks for this info. I’m looking forward to the series. I’m sorry we will miss the first two Sundays but I know we can listen to the cd after we get home. Thanks, Marlene
