A meditation by Michael Pahl on Transfiguration Sunday, February 23, 2020, called “All Belong to You.” It’s a reflection on Mark 9:1-8 and 1 Corinthians 3:10-11, 16-23.
Here is a brief excerpt from the conclusion:
Let us anchor ourselves in our sure foundation, Jesus Christ our Lord, allowing his words and ways to soak deep into our soul. “This is my Beloved Son; listen to him!”
Then, with Jesus as our anchor, we can find the freedom to explore all God’s creation and all human wisdom without fear. “All things are yours—all of space and time, all of life and death.”
And in doing so, we can discover wisdom from God that helps us live out the wisdom of Christ—the way of Jesus—more fully and faithfully. “All belong to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.”
Amen. Let it be so.
