For announcements related to our church community, please see the eBulletin emailed to those on the weekly email list. You can also stay updated by checking the church Facebook page and this website.

Congregational Prayer
This week in our prayers we especially remember:

  • Our Aboriginal neighbours, as they deal with the discovery of 751 more unmarked graves at the sight of a former residential school in Saskatchewan. We mourn together with them, and pray that all possible actions might be taken to bring a measure of healing.
  • Mennonite World Conference, the global community of faith in the Anabaptist tradition, facilitating relationships among Anabaptist churches worldwide, and relating to other Christian world communions and organizations.
  • To thank God for God’s daily presence in our lives, through good times and bad.
  • To thank God for our sisters and brothers around the world, with whom we are “members of the household of God,” with “Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.” (Ephesians 2:19–20)

Prayer Song

Let’s join in singing STS 120 Somebody Prayed for Me (vv. 1,3,4,6), accompanied by Al & Loretta T.

Somebody prayed for me,
had me on their mind,
took the time to pray for me.
I’m so glad they prayed,
I’m so glad they prayed,
I’m so glad they prayed for me.

My brother prayed for me,
had me on his mind,
took the time to pray for me.
I’m so glad he prayed,
I’m so glad he prayed,
I’m so glad he prayed for me.

My mother prayed for me,
had me on her mind,
took the time to pray for me.
I’m so glad she prayed,
I’m so glad she prayed,
I’m so glad she prayed for me.

My Jesus prayed for me,
had me on his mind,
took the time to pray for me.
I’m so glad he prayed,
I’m so glad he prayed,
I’m so glad he prayed for me.
