Congregational Prayer

This week in our prayers we especially remember:

  • The many victims of recent tragedies around the world – the loved ones of those missing in the collapsed condo building in Florida, the victims of mudslides in Japan after heavy rains, the grief and uncertainty in Haiti following the assassination of their president, and many other situations.
  • The students and teachers among us, that after a trying school year due to Covid restrictions and changes, they may have a relaxing summer break.
  • To pray for rain for crops and gardens and our lake.
  • That we may be able to say with assurance, along with Jethro, that “now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods . . .” (Ex. 18:11)

Prayer Song

Let’s continue in a spirit of prayer as Dianne H. plays and sings STJ 92 Just as I Am.

We Listen to God’s Word

Children’s Feature

Good morning everyone! I know I’ve chosen this book before, but when I saw Pastor Justin’s little explanation about his sermon, I thought it fit just perfectly again! Focusing on what’s important…..being kind! I hope you enjoy it (again:)

Song of Response

Join Dianne H. in VT 737 Breathe on Me, Breath of God.

Breathe on me, breath of God.
Fill me with life anew,
that I may love what you so love,
and do what you would do.

Breathe on me, breath of God,
until my heart is pure,
until with you, I will one will: to do and to endure.

Breathe on me, breath of God,
my will to yours incline,
till all this selfish part of me
glows with your fire divine.

Breathe on me, breath of God,
so shall I never die,
but live with you the perfect life of your eternity.

We Are Sent with God’s Blessing
